Wildine Aumoithe: The shortest model

An ICON because...

Standing at 72 cm (28.3 in), Miami resident Wildine Aumoithe was recognized as the shortest-non mobile woman in the world in 2021.

She was 18 at the time and, two years later, she also became the shortest professional model after starring in Runway of Dreams: A Fashion Revolution during the 2023 New York Fashion Week.

Wildine’s stature is due to a rare kind of Dwarfism called SADDAN dysplasia. This genetic condition also makes it impossible (or nearly so) to stand and walk.
"I want to show the world that even though I am short I am able to live my best life, and I can conquer this world even though this world was not built for me," she explains.

The Haitian-American record holder, author and motivational speaker continues to break boundaries and uses her platform to advocate for accessibility and inclusion.

I wanted to inspire people in the dwarfism community that they can do anything. Height is just a number
