The Brief
TUI is the worlds largest tourism business delivering 27 million holidays in 180 regions. Servicing this are 1,600 travel agencies and leading online portals, five airlines, over 400 hotels and 17 cruise liners.
Guinness World Records was commissioned to produce a programme of activities for their family brand, Thomson Family Resorts, children’s clubs. The clubs would be run by TUI’s specialist children’s staff and offered activities for three different age categories.
The Solution
GWR designed a two-week programme of children’s activities for the drop-in clubs as well as day-long activities, all timed to coincide with the adult GWR entertainment.
The itinerary was modified for each age group with age-appropriate activities for the different clubs:
- Tots (1-4)
- Team (5-9)
- Tribe (10-12)
Alongside the club activities, the GWR schedule included Virtual Reality record breaking (for real world records) and Top Banana – a produced and scripted show where the children are the stars and compete against their parents and club mascot, Thomson the Dog.
