The Trichological Society
The Trichological Society (TTS) - founded in 1999 - is an independent, autonomous, professional and educational body dedicated to orthodox hair sciences and hair specialisms. Its growing worldwide membership includes academics and others whose professional interests focus on human hair in health, diseased and distressed circumstances.
Longest hair on a teenager ever
The locks of Nilanshi Patel (India) measured 200 cm (6 ft 6.7 in) in Modasa, Gujarat, India, on 29 July 2020, just before her 18th birthday. She had her hair cut in 2021 and donated the record-setting tresses to Ripley's Believe It or Not! Hollywood museum in California, USA, for others to be inspired by them.
