Silvio Sabba: The serial record breaker

Although Guinness World Records doesn't monitor who breaks the most records, there's no doubt that Italian serial-record-breaker Silvio Sabba has earned his place in the annals of record-breaking.

Nationality: Italy

Inducted: 2024

Notable Record(s):

  • Highest standing jump onto a balance board carrying a 40 lb pack
  • Most squats on a balance board carrying a 100 lb pack in one minute

An ICON because...

Silvio Sabba broke his first-ever record in 2011 - most squats in one minute (single leg) - and hasn't stopped since.

Now, the professional athlete counts over 180 titles to his name and often engages in ambitious challenges alongside his son Cristian. Most of his favourite records involve fitness, his absolute favourite one being the highest standing jump onto a balance board carrying a 40 lb pack.

Silvio has broken a wide array of records and often appeared on the Italian TV show Lo Show dei Record, but he isn't only known for his record titles. The Italian athlete actively engages in charity work: recently he partnered up with Salani, the Italian licensee of Guinness World Records, to donate books to children in hospitals.
In 2019, he was awarded the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, the highest Order of Merit in Italy.

For me, breaking records means working to become the very best in the world in whatever I do.
