Shiny Floor Show
Our shiny floor entertainment format is hugely successful in over 19 territories and has been going for over 20 years. We work closely with production companies who have made hundreds of episodes around the world. It's a large-scale production that is perfect for your biggest viewing night of the week. It's a talent show where everyone is on your side and willing you to win, and where every single competitor is at the very top of their game.
The Format
A host introduces the contestant onto the stage in front of a live studio audience. The contestant then showcases their talent, to the amazement of everyone in the studio. The host asks what record the contestant is hoping to break. With the nature of the show, the record will seem almost impossible, adding jeopardy and excitement. The GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ adjudicators then set out what they are looking for to ensure the world record is broken. Two adjudicators are on set, and may even use VAR to watch the action back in slow motion to ensure that everything has been done correctly to break the record. The records that are attempted are big, to match the scale of the show. Attempts will include circus acts, stunt performers, animals, athletes, and magicians. The show will also include outside broadcast elements, so that even bigger records can be attempted - wing walking, driving, sky diving, bungee jumping.
During the attempt, adjudicators are watching every move the contestant makes along with the studio audience and the audience at home. Everyone is willing the contestant on to succeed. At the end of the attempt, the adjudicators confer as we watch back the attempt with them to see if they have been successful. As tension builds, the adjudicators then announce whether or not a record has been broken. When it has, the contestant is presented with their certificate with the hosts and audiences sharing in their celebrations.
