Our Culture

We are proud to have cultivated a unique working environment here at GWR.  Our diverse business requires a broad range of skills from our talented team which includes research specialists, social media content producers, sales teams; marketers and many others.  All our teams are integral members of the GWR family.

We have implemented Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) policies to make sure that GWR offers a genuinely inclusive workplace.

Additionally, we are dedicated to fostering a diverse environment and take pride in being an equal-opportunity employer.  We embrace everyone for who they are regardless of age, disability, gender identity, marital status, race, faith or belief, sexual orientation or socioeconomic background.  Our offices are designed to be accessible, accommodating and welcoming to all.

Job Perks

We recognise that our strength and passion come from our people and at GWR we are committed to creating a welcoming and enjoyable work environment.

Global events over the past few years have shown us that we can remain productive even in a hybrid setting, leading us to adapt agile work practices across all our regions, and offering GWR employees greater flexibility to balance work with personal lives.  We now see the office as a destination for specific purposes, whether it's to socialise with colleagues, participate in events, or collaborate. Depending on the role or where you live in relation to our offices, we also have team members who are fully remote.

Seasonal Hours

At GWR, we understand the importance of personal time; we have adjusted our Friday hours to finish at 1pm during the summer months and 4pm during the winter months.

Meet Record Holders

Each office regularly arranges virtual and in-person opportunities for us to connect with each other and to hear inspiring stories direct from our amazing record holders.

Awards and Recognition

Annual awards take place to celebrate our staff and recognise those who demonstrate our values of Integrity, Passion, Respect, Inclusiveness and Fun in everything that they do.

Volunteer Days

Each GWR region has an active community committee, with the purpose of engaging and supporting local schemes.

To date, GWR staff have worked on schools and literacy programmes, supporting programmes for the homeless, a variety of diversity and inclusion initiatives, Ramadan and Christmas food donation drives, and much, much more.

To foster the community spirit, we encourage everyone to request two volunteer days per year for either GWR sponsored community projects or to allow our employee to support their own community projects close to their hearts and homes.

Staff Surveys

Candid and honest feedback is important. To facilitate this, we have quarterly staff surveys with an independent survey provider.

Professional Development & Studying Opportunities

We encourage skills and management growth through a rich mix of expert training, either in-person or online, including formal qualifications where applicable.

We also recognise that most learning takes place on the job and we encourage managers to mentor their teams and individuals. To ensure that conversations are kept alive we have quarterly, formal, career discussions to measure progress throughout the year.

Our ongoing partnership with LinkedIn Learning supports managers and encourages colleagues to learn through bitesize videos, independently and flexibly at their own speed.
