With members in 77 countries, the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) is the world’s largest environmental educational organization. Recognized by UNESCO and UNEP as a world-leader within the fields of Environmental Education and Education for Sustainable Development, FEE currently runs five core programmes. Their educational programmes use a solution-based approach to empower young people to create a more environmentally conscious world. The Green Key and Blue Flag initiatives, meanwhile, are known across the world for their promotion of sustainable business practices and the protection of valuable natural resources.

Most Blue Flag beaches (country)

According to Blue Flag – an international voluntary programme that requires beaches to adhere to strict criteria regarding water quality, environmental management and education, safety and accessibility – the country with the most Blue Flag beaches is Spain, with 621 as of 30 August 2022. In second place was Greece with 581 Blue Flag beaches, and third was Türkiye with 529, as of the same date.
