Mymains Stewart Gilligan (aka Stewie) measured 123 cm (48.5 in) long on 28 August 2010 to make him one of the largest domestic cats ever. Sadly, Stewie passed away in January 2013

Rarest big cat

The world’s rarest big cat is the Amur, or Manchurian, leopard (Panthera pardus orientalis), of which only 65–69 individuals are estimated to exist, according to the most recent census data from 2015. Native to the mountainous forests on the border of north-eastern China and the Russian Far East, it is currently classed as Critically Endangered by the IUCN

Largest living cat

Hercules, an adult male liger (lion x tigress hybrid) currently housed at Myrtle Beach Safari, a wildlife reserve in South Carolina, USA is the biggest cat in the world. This big cat measures 3.33 m (131 in), stands 1.25 m (49 in) at the shoulder, and weighs 418.2 kg (922 lb)

From 20 November 2012 to 9 November 2013 the longest fur on a cat was 22.87 cm and belonged to Colonel Meow, owned by Anne Marie Avey (USA), as measured in Seattle, Washington, USA
