An ICON because...

Measuring a little over 64 cm (2 ft), twenty-year-old Afshin can easily fit into a toddler's clothes.

Life hasn't been easy for the North Iranian young man, who couldn't attend school with his peers due to his size and the medical treatments he needed. He also couldn't travel from one village to the other on his own, always escorted by his parents.

Like most people his age, Afshin also loves to travel, watch cartoons and scroll on social media. However, carrying a phone can be challenging when you have the smallest hands in the world: a little over 6cm, the average length of a lighter. For his wardrobe, the record holder has to opt for custom-made clothes that fit his unique measurements.

Between travels and TV show appearances, Afshin recently learned to write his name and is embracing his new role as a record holder with a big smile and a gentle personality.

Just thinking about being part of the Guinness World Records family is like a dream. I struggle to believe it sometimes. It is like you wake up the next day and the entire world now knows who you are. That’s magical!
