84 year old body builder lifts his way into the new Guinness World Records 2018 book

There are many incredible physical achievements that feature in the new Guinness World Records 2018 edition book, but perhaps none quite like the incredible physique maintained by an 84-year-old who is in better shape than many men a fraction of his age.
Jim Arrington from Venice, California, USA has entered the GWR 2018 edition as the world’s Oldest male bodybuilder.
Though he might be a great-grandfather, nothing has stopped the retired sales and purchasing professional from bodybuilding for the last 70 years.
In total, he has competed in 62 competitions, of which he’s won an impressive 16.
Once nicknamed “Skinny Bones” when he was younger, Jim now gets a lot of attention for his physique.
His workout regimen is constantly changing depending on his goals, with this current training schedule involving full body workouts for just over an hour twice a week.
While dieting isn’t a problem for Jim, he sticks to a high protein, moderate carbohydrate and fat regimen to stay lean year round.
When he’s not bodybuilding or competing, Jim enjoys DIY projects with his wife, May, traveling, Formula 1 racing and listening to classical music.
Jim, who was born in 1932, has had a ton of experience in the bodybuilding sport, but is still eager to be a part of it.
Originally verified in 2015 for his record title, he has plans to break it again at a bodybuilding competition in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA.
Jim appears in the Guinness World Records 2018 Edition alongside loads of outstanding record holders.
The Guinness World Records 2018 Edition, Guinness World Records 2018 Gamer’s Edition, and Guinness World Records: Amazing Animals, are in stores now.
